I did this! I backed WS into this spot in Hardin, MT! Alone. Unassisted. But it took me 20 minutes! :-)

Twins!

Twins!

This doesn't capture it at all.

This doesn't capture it either, but the sky is nice.

For as long as I can remember whenever I've traveled through these western states I see these flowers bobbing their heads at the side of the road.

    • OMG, I try to be so careful! I don’t want to pull out in front of a 2 wheeler even if I think I have enough room! :-)))))))

Yes, 2 sets. Well, Joy and Shiloh are the same breed but they are sure not twins!

I’m so proud of you, Micky! What’s 20 minutes? Next time will be quicker…practice makes perfect…and all the other old chestnuts you’ve heard. In this case, so true. You WILL get better and better…no doubt in my mind. You and Michael (Zenonwheels) are doing so well and I couldn’t be more proud. I know the pups are so glad to be on the road with you.

    • Hugs to you Cat Lady! Thank you! 🙂 Yes, there was a picture I wanted to post with the other Golden we met last night that wouldn’t show up, but Joy and Shiloh are having all kinds of new experiences too. They are so adaptable, bless their little hearts! And they really did keep me warm last night!

Great pictures Micky! So proud of you backing in….as Cat Lady said, what’s 20 minutes? haha

  6. I was checking in and the lady and I were talking and I told her about my backing up problem. She encouraged me to practice there because the RV park was quite empty and the roads were quite wide. She also told me no one would watch. 🙂

Congrats on backing in ! Great job!
That will be my weakness. I can’t even back up my little Honda if I have to rely on the side view mirrors. The distances just don’t seem right. So good on you!

Thanks for posting the photos. And thanks for responding to my questions on the previous post. C

    • I had a Honda Civic before I bought the Ford F150. I bought I bought the Ford 2 years ahead because I figured it would take me that long to get used to driving it. I’m not what you would call a quick study I guess! :-))

Only 20 minutes? I’m impressed, sincerely! I love the photo of the sky with the puffy clouds. Doug and I call that an “Alberta sky”. I do hope you make it there someday, I don’t have too much experience of Canada, but Alberta is gorgeous.

Congratulations on your developing parking skills. Good for you! I know what you mean about photos not truly capturing the majesty of a scene. It’s hard to get the scope, scale and spirit of a place in a photo. Still, those are some awesome photos! Thanks for sharing them with us.

Love the pictures. One thing I’ve never understood is when folks say “Why go see xxx in person when I can see it better on television.” Those folks are missing out on soooo much. No picture or television show can ever adequately show the reality of the beautiful places in our country. As you said, the pictures don’t really capture the spirit of the place but they are better than nothing for those of use that are stuck in one place for now.

  16. Exactly Reine. And when I’ve seen pictures or seen things on tv, I never realize what I’m missing. It’s all good, but being there is…..WOW! 🙂

You are so brave to do this all on your own! We are so happy you can do this and are getting to be a real pro at parking!! Wish we were nearer to you!!!!
