Golden Days With Kerry & Annabelle

There are golden leaves everywhere.  So beautiful!

A gust of breeze causes them to shimmer in the sun, or blow through the air.

But these are golden days of transition for Kerry, gaining more and more mobility as her leg heals, and one positive change after another is happening in her life due to good decisions she is making.  I love that it’s all happening right before my eyes!

First, as you learned in the last post, she traded in her old 5th wheel for a 2014 22′ Nash travel trailer with good insulation and heated tanks which will make it possible for her to stay in this area for the winter, which was her hope.

Next, she landed a job that will start on Monday!

Then she was able to trade in her TWO trucks on a 2013 Tundra, about as perfect a tow vehicle as one could ask for.

What a BEAUTY!

Last, but certainly not least, she found a new place to live for the winter, near where she will be working, since Sisters Creekside Campground will be closing for the winter.

All this happens in literally one week, yet she handles it all in a cool, calm and collected way.  Well for the most part.  🙂

We manage to have plenty of fun during these major life changes.

More swimming in the shady creek.  How refreshing for the kids!

And rolling in green grass is a Joyful thing!

Walks….lots of walks.

Stump sniffing is still a very popular activity.

It just never gets old….

Neither does hole digging, and making the dust fly.

Fun, fun, fun!

Shiloh ends up with a brown nose.  Do you see those eyelashes?  They just keep on growing and I trim them regularly.

We marvel at the timing of my visit and the timing of all the things that are happening.  Kerry couldn’t have done all this, physically, even a few weeks ago, and a few weeks in the future would be difficult, mostly due to the season changing, the campground closing, etc.

Annabelle is a grown up girl now, all filled out and about 80 pounds.  She will be going to day-care on a part time basis while Kerry works.  She has been to this particular day-care a number of times already, so she’s used to it and loves to play there.

Last night we took our doggie walk among golden leaves and pine trees.

As the sun set, all the puffy clouds in every direction turned pink.

It felt like a good sign to me.  I can leave here tomorrow knowing my friend is well and at peace with all the transition in her life.
