A New Beginning

New beginnings are refreshing.  On the positive side they bring feelings like:

excitement, anticipation, and hope.

Do you make New Years Resolutions?  I never really called them by that name, but I do try to set some positive goals for the year ahead.  New beginnings are a nice time to do that.  A new year, a new month, week, day, hour, minute or mile.

We can always begin again.  We can always start fresh.  We can think and be positive…..look for the beauty…..reach for a star….seek peace.

Here are some goals I want to look towards in the framework of the above thoughts:

Pay more attention to my intuition.  My intuition is alive and well, I just need to learn to listen to it more attentively and trust it more.

Practice self-love and self-forgiveness.  I’m learning, but I have a long way to go.

Take care of my health.  Not by crash dieting or doing hours of exercise, but by eating more greens and fruit, drinking more water, letting go of some of the sweets and fats, and by doing more stretching and moving.

Watch my spending.  I don’t mean “scrimp and save”, but put more thought into what I’m spending money on.  Be careful about impulse buying.

Continue the minimalist path, by noticing and eliminating things from my life that I find I don’t need.

MAY ALL OF YOU READING THIS HAVE A PEACEFUL, BLESSED NEW YEAR, FULL OF LOVE AND JOY!

Happy New Year Mick, Joel and Laura – – happy/healthy trails and year ahead to all…puppies too! Your New Year’s celebration looked pretty magical……

    • Happy New Year Marie and Ray! When the year changes its always kind of a magical event for me. It puts me in mind of the stars…the universe…the hugeness of it, traveling around the sun, the circular, clock-like constant motion. That in turn gives me a glimpse of the tiny-ness our earth and us and I marvel at the existence of all of it….
But those margaritas definitely added to the magic of it all! 😉
