For this season, at least….
We are already out walking before the sun rises…here it comes, peaking over the mountains.
We pass by the propane tank where we can leave our small tanks as needed. John fills them at some point and we can pay at the office later.

Little purple flowers in bloom.

And yellow ones.
View as we approach the back of the ‘Bunk House’ (aka the Cliff House, named after the man who ran the place for years and was well loved. He is responsible for much of the stone work here, I’m told). Notice the pink stripes on the roof? They are not there! Trick of the camera or the light I guess…but nice effect! This building houses a big multipurpose room, and a 3 room library. In the front there is a nice patio and some gardens.
Up a hill we go!
Lots of cactus around, and those pink fuzzy flower things.
The next 2 pictures were not taken on the walk, but as we were leaving, driving very slowly, bumpity bump, down the long dirt road.

Bye Caballo Loco Ranch…We will miss you. See you in the fall…..
It is always sad to say “see ya.” That is one thing I have never gotten used to….leaving places and people ( or them leaving). It is obvious that CLR has a special place in your heart. You’ll be back in the fall with wonderful memories to share with your friends.
Nice walk…great pics!!
Safe travels 😀
Thank you Gerri. Your comments are so sweet. Yes it’s hard leaving…and even harder being left I think.
I am so happy for you that you have found such a peaceful place, especially for your heart!
Looking forward to your travel notes to come! Be safe my friend!
Thank you Patty. And safe travels to you and John too…coming up soon!
All the best, Micky and fur kids.
Thank you Carmen.
Bittersweet…leaving a place where you’ve found such peace and friendship, but onward with that wanderlust. Excited to follow along, and will be equally excited upon your return to the ranch. Happy and safe travels!
Glad to have you with me Cindy!
Good to have a home base. Safe travels!
Thanks Dawn!
